Brett Jones

Chief Executive Officer

Brett Jones is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Basin Development. He leads the team focusing on development of various asset classes including retail, multifamily, commercial, medical and land projects. Brett is also responsible for relations with clients, investors, and lenders and sources capital for Basin’s projects. He actively manages company financials and ensures deadlines and client expectations are met. Brett enjoys the creative process of working through each development and seeing new assets come to life.

Prior to founding the company, Brett worked in the industry as a retail and investment broker selling commercial properties across the Intermountain West at brokerages including Marcus & Millichap and Mountain West Commercial. He specialized in Single Tenant Net Leased and Multi-Tenant Retail acquisitions and dispositions and built a network of investors with an emphasis on forming long term relationships.

Brett received his Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) Degree from the University of Utah in 2020 and previously graduated from the David Eccles School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.

Brett enjoys golfing, snowmobiling, hunting, and spending time in Bear Lake & Lake Powell with his wife and family.

Ryan Kiger

Chief Operations Officer

Ryan is responsible for taking projects from theoretical conception to delivery to the customer. His management of due diligence, design, city entitlements, financing, and the construction process ensures our customers receive their assets in “turnkey” condition. He provides high quality project management by managing financial objectives and meeting project milestones through his involvement at every stage of Basin’s project development. Ryan manages a commercial mixed-use community, as well as medical and retail development projects. He has a passion for developing and fostering effective relationships that build trust with our clients, investors, and external customers.

Prior to joining Basin Development, Ryan served on active duty in the U.S. Army as a Logistics and Operations Officer. His experience in contracting, construction, and logistics with Army engineers brings a solid and structured process to managing Basin’s projects. Ryan still serves in the Army Reserve where he hones his skills of managing projects as a Civil Affairs Officer.

Ryan graduated with a BS from The University of Nebraska (Omaha) and earned his Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) from the David Eccles School of Business at The University of Utah. Ryan enjoys snowboarding, hunting, golfing, and spending time with his wife and daughters.
